Senior Finance and Accounting Specialist

Overall purpose of the job: You will play an essential role within the organization by supporting the Financial department and shaping it, in delivering excellent services to the business. Your work will include day-to-day finance activities, high level support for accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. You will have considerable experience in US GAAP accounting principles as well as local accounting rules and standards, and will succeed in providing timely and accurate services.
Skills and abilities:
  • University degree in finance, accounting etc.
  • Previous experience in both US GAAP and Romanian accounting principles is a must
  • A minimum of 3 years related and progressive work experience
  • Fluency to speak, read and write in English
  • Experience in enterprise level business accounting software preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify opportunities for efficiencies or improvements
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use good professional judgment required
  • Ability to influence all levels of staff
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance staff in a constructive manner
  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail oriented - great with catching small numerical errors; for instance
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet critical deadlines
  • Advanced skills in PC/Word processing/database/spreadsheets systems and integrating these to produce complex reports and documents
  • Previous experience with Saga and QuickBooks is a nice to have

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all accounting processes align with local financial legislations throughout different CoSoSys group entities
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the whole company and preparation for review by internal and external sources
  • Perform standard analysis to support Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, and management in month-end close analysis, audits, policy compliance, taxes, annual budget process, management reporting, and other projects
  • Responsible for reconciliation and review
  • Provide high level support for accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of records, reports, fiscal data and confidential records
